Thomas A. Westerkamp has served on a condo board for five years, four as President, and has advised several board Presidents. He works with property managers, lawyers, auditors, professional engineers, many vendors, and fire and elevator inspectors. He developed work management software to track vendor work and provide historical data for board decisions.

He is the Founder of Productivity Network Innovations, LLC (PNI), a management consulting firm. where he held positions as President, CEO, and Board Chairman. He is currently a Senior Advisor to PNI and Westerkamp Group, LLC, specializing in healthcare financial improvement.

From 1966 to 1986, he held positions as Vice-President, Director and Partner in , H. B. Maynard and Company, Inc. , management consultants (now a division of Accenture). He has advised a broad range of industries, services and governments in the U.S., including Alaska, and outside the U.S. in Aruba, Canada, and India. He held positions of Master Mechanic and Plant Engineer in a fully integrated maintenance and construction department at an 80-tons-a-day paperboard mill.

He writes books and has contributed 300+ articles to trade journals. In addition to numerous consulting engagements for many mid-sized and Fortune 500 companies, training seminars, and maintenance courses, he designed and implemented integrated computerized maintenance management systems. He has participated in 20+ speaking engagements as a speaker and exhibitor in business conferences. The trade show exhibits he participated in include the National Manufacturing Week Plant Engineering Show in Chicago, and regional shows, including the International Maintenance Conference, sponsored by the Institute of Industrial Engineers; the University of Wisconsin Engineering Professional Development Program; and several Construct and Total Facility Management Shows. Thomas has written lecture and online maintenance planner and supervisor training courses; maintenance audit software; a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS); maintenance methods and time standards software; a method engineering course; and presented several webcasts on maintenance and engineering issues.

He holds a Bachelor of Science, Industrial Engineering degree from the University of Dayton, Dayton, Ohio. He has been a Senior Member at the Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE); a member at the International Maintenance Institute (IMI), which is a professional organization dedicated to the advancement of maintenance throughout the world; and he has been a registered professional engineer in Ohio and Illinois and a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers. He was sponsored for the Gilbreth Award, presented annually by the Institute of Industrial Engineers for outstanding contributions to the field of Industrial Engineering.

He served in the U.S. Army in Korea in 1952 and 1953. He and his late wife of 66 years made their home in Illinois, where they raised their five daughters and five sons. He finds joy in writing, travel, sailing, and flying.
